For three generations the KANEDA family has been famous in Himeji city for their innovative leather production.

The senior president Jiro KANEDA of KYOHSHIN CO.,LTD. established KANENI LEATHER in 1955 from THE KANEDA TANNERY which his father and oldest brother established in Himeji at the beginning of 19th century.

KYOHSHIN CO.,LTD. was established in 1972 from KANENI LEATHER and started to focus on export and import activities of leather with Korea, Taiwan and other Asian countries.

KYOHSHIN CO.,LTD. is now under management by third generation president, Yoji KANEDA who studied at the world renowned REUTLINGEN GERMAN LEATHER SCHOOL and graduated as a leather technician (Ober Meister) in 1984.

Ordinarily, it is said that it takes two years and six months for students from foreign countries to complete the course, Yoji passed the graduation exam just in 2 years. It is a very rare case. He became the first Japanese who completed the course in two years.

At the same time, he was certified the qualification of Leder Techniker (Leather technician = Ober Meister). Ober meister, a higher rank of Meister, is allowed to teach and train Meister as Ober meister has higher knowledge and skills than Meister.

The combination of Yoji KANEDA's technical expertise with the latest international finishing systems and machinery has enabled KYOHSHIN CO.,LTD. to expand its capabilities farther into the forefront of leather production.

KYOHSHIN CO.,LTD. is now working closely with many designers in Tokyo producing fashionable leathers suitable for shoes, bags, handbags, belts, and small leather goods that not only will appeal to today's market but will appeal to the fashion conscious new generations.

KYOHSHIN CO.,LTD. views the world as its marketplace and hence promotes itself at international leather fairs such as LINEA PELLE in Bologna (Italy), Milano (Italy), Hong Kong and Miami (USA), Vietnam.
